Look at their art and do you like it and appreciate it.

Do they just teach or do they have success selling and are well known in the community 

Ask your teacher if they have their own studio and if you can visit the studio and see how you feel about working there before you commit


What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

Do I have the time to commit to regular practice?To be great at art practice makes perfect and in art what you don’t know will hurt you
