About

I’ve been a successful professional artist for over forty years. I’ve mastered realism in drawing mediums as well as oil and watercolor. I also work in mixed media assemblage and carving wood and stone. I was a fine art major in college and recieved my BFA degree from prestigious Ringling College of Art and Design. For over 18 years, I showed and sold hundreds of original paintings and thousands of limited edition prints of my artwork in outdoor art festivals throughout the east coast of the USA. I have won well over one hundred awards in shows and other art compitiions through the years. My work has been licensed for use on numerous production from calendars, note pads, puzzles, fabric, coffee mugs, T-Shirts, etc., by numerous companies. I will help you achieve your goals in your artistic endeavors.

Making a living doing what you love is a true blessing. For me, that is living the life of a creative and productive artist. I love the smiles that my artwork brings to the world. And when doing commissioned cat or other pet paintings for my clients, I love the reponses and comments that they so graciously share with me on how my work speaks to their hearts and captures the spirit of their special animal friends.

When I teach someone to draw or paint, I get great satisfaction from watching those first few tentative lines or brush strokes develope into sure handed, heart felt expressions of a unique individual artist. One of my students who is still studying with me afer 8 years, has been winning many awards in the art shows and developing a great following of patrons. She has become a fabulous confident painter!

For beginning drawing students, I teach them to draw the basic shapes in charcoal or pencil to master light and shadow on various forms that are the building blocks of all forms in nature.

For beginning painting students, I teach them the basics of mixing color in either oil or watercolor. This is combined with teaching brush techniques to achieve the desired effects in the painting whether it be impressionistic or photo realistic styles or somewhere in between the two.

I was a fine art major in college and earned my BFA from Ringling College of Art and Design.
