About
A working contemporary intuitive abstract painter and Masters Level Art Therapist, I teach in an open and supportive manner. I help my students gain comfort in utilizing various art materials including acrylic paints, chalk and oil pastels and collage as a means of exploring self expression and large scale abstract painting.
I truly enjoy the process oriented approach I offer to my students. I enjoy helping those completely new to painting discover a new talent or a new hobby. The focus on the creative process of painting and art making allows for the student to drive their own images working at their own speed. I help students discover a joy in Mark making as well as working large scale, often standing at the wall. And in regards to seasoned painters, I enjoy offering encouraging efforts at showing new ways of approaching one's work and utilizing an open approach to the creative process. There is no right or wrong in my classes, just honoring one's experience and journey in the act of creating and painting
