About
I have a fine art degree from The Ringling School of Art and Design, and several years of atelier studies to learn a clasical method of drawing. For me art is about both skill and learning how to access what is unique about you. With my insturction, a complete beginner will be quite pleased with how they are drawing within just a few sessions. My teaching method is serious, but unintimidating. I can also work with artists who are more advanced on creativity, painting skill etc. www.vickichelf.com and www.vrchelf.com

How did you get started teaching?
I was a student at the Southern Ateleier and the director asked me if I wanted to teach children and run a children's camp. After a season of teaching at the Atelier I taught at the Renaissance school until they closed. After the school closed some of the students asked me to work with them privately. I also teach group classes at the Sarasota Trading Co.
