About
Art itself is a vehicle for communication, proper and constant education in refining our own artistic voice is elemental to properly connect with others effectively and meaningfully. Every student has unique potential and goals, it is my mission to aid each and all of my students to unlock their light because I believe in education as a way to make better decisions and have a balanced and harmonious life. One that is guided with love and wisdom.
I come from a family of Masters, Professors, Teachers in all levels and venues, My own experience teaching has been in the form of volunteering in my community to teach children, teenagers and adults about Art/English & Spanish Language including martial arts and Yoga.
I was raised in north Mexico where bilingual people is common such as here in Florida where I currently live, and I have been doing Art for 38 years and in recent years I have been researching and studying "Communication", we might know a language such as English, Art, Playing an instrument but do we really know how to communicate? Love is also a language, and knowing how to express and receive love is itself a form of communication. Some of the Organizations where I have volunteered with my work include the Unidos Now Organization, The west Coast for human Development, The West Coast Black Theater Troupe, Worlds Ming Wu Martial Arts Association, The Ringling College of Art and Design and the Red Cross While Hurricane Irma hit Florida.
I completed part of my education in Mexico where I also studied Engineering in Computer systems earning meaningful awards, diplomas and certificates for my art. Here in Florida I was fortunate enough to continue my artistic career as a freelance and Volunteer, activist artist, participating in Gallery and private owned exhibits as well as Universities and commercial venues, here my education continued at a professional Level in Art at the prestigious Ringling College of Art and Design where I studied Game Art and Design and Traditional and Digital Illustration with a minor in Business of Art and Design.
One of my main reasons to enroll in their Game art and Design program is the potential I find in the new technologies such as gaming and Virtual reality for Education.
I have earned awards for my work in collective exhibitions and appeared in some newspaper, magazine, radio and TV interviews that had left me with meaningful learning such as my participation with my artwork in two important documentaries: "The Observer and the Observed" and "American Dreams" Both have earned a righteous place in film Festivals and Universities.
I find joy in giving more than receiving and to realize that my actions have done good in someone elses life is a blessing, creating a conection and making a difference is important to me.
I am all about creating moments in the now because to me life is a constant dance, we must evolve with it, grow and adapt on each stept, so we never stop learning. Sharing love, wisdom and things that will help others improve the quality of their life is a pleassure.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Building trust on a secure fun and interactive environment is a great start to create good energy and evaluate the current status of a student in all areas, It is very important to understand the student needs and expectations first hand. I love providing knowledge, but I believe in teaching how to be self-driven or skills to facilitate a scholar attitude towards learning anything he/she desires (The "Teach how to fish strategy") This means that I taylor the content of each class accordingly through diverse learning approaches and I constantly monitor the student and make notes to innovate my teaching strategies. This is one of the fun parts of teaching and interacting with a student; it is also a learning process for the instructor and definetly a very rewardng experience for both parts.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have training in diverse disciplines and this gives me an edge at the moment of sharing concepts or ideas, I see this as a great advantage because I can explain a concept in different ways, and also find one that best relates and suits the interests or way of learning of a student.
Everything I have studied and experienced is as important to my work because I understand that we are the sum of all our experiences and learning, everything is connected and as an instructor I make sure I know and utilize my tools for eficiency.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is measured according to the needs and expectations of the student.
How did you get started teaching?
Like in language learning, I started teaching through "Familiarization", I come from a family of teachers/professors from diverse academic levels and venues that's how I became familiarized with the art of teaching.
I taught some of my friends as a way of helping them while in primary school, and in secondary school I was my professor's assistant for several courses, I also assisted my martial arts instructor and taught Art, English and Spanish classes and did some mentoring to contribute to my community in the past ten years in Sarasota Florida.
I still remember waiting for my Mom, at age 7, to finish teaching her classes, while I day dreamed of myself teaching and using methods to create a fun and entertaining athmosphere for learning.
What types of students have you worked with?
I had worked with children, teenagers, young adults and adults in diverse settings and topics.
I was also certified through a course to create a safe environment for children prior to an art course I developed as volunteering for a Church in Sun City Florida.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My mom's birthday just passed, because she is who taught me how to read and write and also helped me enhance my drawing skills besides stirring my imagination and interests in learning all before age 5, at this age I already wrote in cursive and is when I designed my current signature. She is a retired Primary school professor and mother of 10 brothers and sisters, she taught me how to cook, saw, clean, care for others, empathy, love, family values, history how to face life as a warrior with faith and much more.
