About

Individual instruction in very small classes, from total beginner to intermediate. No drawing skills needed at all, to learn to paint beautifully in watercolors, they are two different skills. Also colored pencil drawing classes available. Teaching these classes for 35 years, to people from every walk of life. Please look at the photos of the watercolor and colored pencil art examples I teach, shown here in my profile . Classes are Only available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 1:00pm Or 6:30, there are NO morning or weekend classes. Adults only, 20 and up, I no longer teach children.

    Learning drawing with colored pencils and it has been great! Ive gone from barely being able to do stick figures to pictures Im proud of. Once Mary has taught you the basics, she encourages you to draw what interests you. She is always positive and gives you plenty of support to do the best you possibly can. I look forward to class every week!

    .  Classes are 2 hours long one class per week.

    Painting, creating artwork was my passion,  I couldn’t get enough of it, I took classes everywhere I could find them. I had  (2 TV famous artists), Kathwren and Gary Jenkins, also Judy Talbot and Joanne Williams Walker, tell me that I needed to be teaching, but I was very shy, finally I started.   That was 35 years ago,  what a joy it has been to teach, encourage, and share what it is that I love with so many wonderful people from every walk of life.

    Every age, my 3 year old grand children to, publishers, Drs, Attorneys, college Professors, landscapers, anethiesiolegist, school teachers, computer technologists, phys therapists, workout gym owners, high school students, homemakers and many retirees, from all over the world Canada, Germany, India,  South Africa, Great Britain, Puerto Rico, of course Our own USA.

    Demonstrating at the “Florida Watercolor Society” yearly show. My booth is always packed with standing room only. I have the opportunity to teach and demonstrate things that people have been trying to figure out how todo. They are so excited to add these techniques to their skills.
    I always look for the way an individual learns so I can most affectively teach them. If an individual knows they learn best by visual opposed to hearing that is helpful to tell the instructor. Or maybe by doing, works better, that’s fine , I always pay very close attention to this and also if someone is hearing what I’m telling them.
    What are their goals and expectations. I.e hobby or entertainment or to illustrate a book.
