About
I have always loved teaching others about art, photography, and creative approaches to new experiences. My experience as a creative ranges over 40 years of working with students from all walks of life and giving them insight about seeing things in a new fresh light. I help them to expand their creative vision to grow as individuals.
I have been exhibiting my own artwork both here and abroad and am included in several permanent collections. Please visit my website www.marciatreiger.com for an in depth look into the many styles and techniques I have explored on my journey.
If you want to learn the more commercial side of shooting, I am an expert in lighting, portraiture, fashion, and more specifically lighting jewelry, glass objects, and interiors.
I enjoy helping others to see and be creative. We are all creative in some way. I just help to define it and nurture your creativity. I really enjoy working with individuals and listening to your stories about what things you find important and meaningful.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with the basics and work up from there.
It is so important to simply understand basic camera actions, how to control the camera or computer to achieve what is in your mind.
I also reinforce my lessons with notes you can take home with you.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I attended Moore College of Art in Philadelphia and received a B.F.A. in fine art photography and printmaking. That represented 4 years of study.
I also attended Tyler School of Art, Temple University, in PA, where I received my M.F.A. in photography and graphic arts production. That represented 2 years of study.
Since that time I have worked for many studios, owned and operated my own Portrait and Photojournalistic Wedding business. I have continued to explore and create new bodies of work up to this very day.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
In general, as much is covered in just one hour, my starting price is $50.00 per hour. Initially an hour and a half seems to be a good amount of time to learn without over saturation.
I will give discounts for lessons over three hours long.
