Top Technique Skills Academy - Coach Noah

Hello my name is Noah Coons and I am the owner and coach at TTSA! I began TTSA after I recognized a lack of foundational technical understanding and variety at all levels of the game. Before coaching I had a successful playing career playing soccer at the college and semi-professional level and a couple seasons with a professional futsal team. After hanging up the boots, I began my coaching career in 2020 and have had very diverse coaching experiences working with Pre-K and rec programs, an ECNL club team, youth futsal teams, two high school varsity teams, and Men's and Women's professional futsal teams. Additionally, I have childcare experiences as a tutor, nanny, summer camp director and high school teacher.

From all these experiences I have designed my training programs around 3 basic principles:

1. Technique, Technique, Technique

If you don't understand the correct technique, then you are practicing the wrong technique. Your brain is the most important tool on the soccer field. Learn how to visualize proper technique and connect that visual to your body.

2. Repetition is on your own time

Repetitive cone drills are essential for developing muscle memory, but this can be accomplished on your own time. My time with you is best spent ensuring you understand how to train a technique properly. You are EXPECTED to work on your own time and to promote successful at-home training and learning you will be given homework with drills specific to the recent training sessions and learning tasks to develop tactical and mental understanding.

3. Specific and Purposeful Training = Best Results

Learning is best accomplished when presented with manageable amount of information to learn. Training everything at once is not practical, nor effective. Select from programs that train specific skills and techniques that are purposeful to your individual training needs.
