Hoop College
About
I grew up in the Caribbean and earned a college basketball scholarship after playing at an International High School Competition in New Jersey featuring many future NBA players. I've been coaching players for over ten years, helping them to score easier on the court and raise their basketball IQ.
I learned CLA from coach Alex Sarama of the Cleveland Cavaliers and I use the Constraints Led Approach in practice. Drills are set up like real game situations with small challenges. Players repeat each drill but with a twist, keeping practice fresh, fun, and game-like.
At Hoop College, there are no cone drills or long lines. Kids play nonstop, learn to score at all five levels, dribble with purpose, and make the right reads every time. A proud dad, I have five kids who all play sports. One of my kids just got a sports scholarship to St. Thomas University.
Athletes who train with me get the three keys to success: 1. Skill 2. Confidence 3. Basketball IQ
