Tutoring By Marlon Jr.
About
I place a premium on getting to the root. Learning is best illustrated as a journey. Along the journey, one will find themselves facing a host of different challenges. Sometimes they will come up to a bridge and require the help of a builder to help them get back on track. That's when I come into play. I help bridge the gaps so you can get to your destination.
I enjoy the "eureka" moment that comes during a lesson. It is incredible to help a student realize that they knew the information and the answer to their question the entire time. They just need a push in the right direction.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When I have a new student I like to first create an evaluation for their level of understanding of the subject matter.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences. I am currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Health Informatics. I have over five consecutive years of tutoring in maths and sciences, from kindergarten to college.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing system for lessons are as follows:
Elementary: $20/hour
Middle: $25/hour
High School: $30/hour
College: $35/hour
How did you get started teaching?
I started tutoring during my junior year of high school back in 2014. I guess one could say I became an addict for the "eureka" moment.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students as young as 5, and as seasoned as 82. I have also worked with students with learning disabilities like ADHD and Dyslexia.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Students should always revert back to the basics. Where is the disconnect between where they are in their understanding, and where they need to be? Often times there is just one piece of the puzzle missing.
