Gulf Coast Lions Basketball
About
We have been working in the community for almost 15 years. We had a youth Program called the Tampa Athletic Achievement Program aka the "Tampa Bay Legends" we have over 20 former student athletes that are in college now or have recently graduated having enjoyed playing college basketball. We are now a professional Basketball team out of Sarasota Fl. We will come to you for training if needed.
I find teaching the game of basketball most rewarding because of the life lessons it teaches. Not only is it rewarding to see the student develop into a great athlete but they end up stronger and more responsible adults if the coaching is done right. I have a lot of players that are looking to give back and share what they have learned over the years.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first step is to get to know the student athlete to get an idea of work habits and skill level to ensure a good fit between the client an our trainer.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have coached youth basketball for over 15 years. I coached on the professional level for 1 year with the Tampa Bay Titans and I am now the General Manager of the Gulf Coast Lions both professional teams that are located in the Tampa Bay Area. Working with the youth has always been my passion. I have watched the game of basketball mold student athletes into collegiate athletes and proud young men. I believe the game teaches many life lessons and prepares the player for the future.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is based on needs depending on what the player needs we will put together a plan that fits the student athletes.
How did you get started teaching?
I started Coaching after a short period as a HS referee. I quickly realized I wanted to reach more then officiating so I took my first Coaching Job at Pacson College Prep in Jacksonville, Fl
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students from all over the world now. I've worked with kids from the all over the US, and Africa.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The most exciting experience I had was Coaching the Tampa Bay Titans for their 1st year. It was exciting and challenging but the opportunity to be a bigger part of the process led me to the Gulf Coast Lions.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The best advice I can give a student athlete is to be sure they are prepared to commit mind body and soul to the process because if they aren't serious all they will do is waste money and time. A trainer is only as successful as the students desire.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
They should have a idea of what area's they think they need work in most and even more importantly be prepared to work both with a basketball and on your body without one. If both of these aren't involved in the trainers plan keep looking.
