CPR & Safety Instructor

If I have a new student I wil spend one on one with them to make sure that they unsterstand the class that they are taking. I had a new student on 10/20/16 and when she was done she told me that she would feel comfortable to CPR and First-Aid on any victim and I also make sure she had a faceshield and gloves. It's more then just a new person you have to connect with them and they only way to do that is to put yourself in their shoes.

I have been an instructor for 15 years, I had to sit in CPR and First-Aid classes for 10 years. Me having to sit in those classes if what has made me a better instructor. I had to go t classes for 2 days 10 hours a day just to become an instructor. After I became an instructor I then relized that 98% of the instructor were teaching just for the money and they were not telling you things that you really need to know. I do it to make sure that they understand the good and bad about CPR. The biggest problem is that the instructor do not tell them many things that they need to know and one of them is the CPR is about just keeping the brain and heart alive until paramedics arrive. 

My price is very cheap and there are several different situation to determine my price. If they come to me is cheap if it is a company with 40 people then the price will be different. If someone whats to know what I charge they can call me and then I bet they will come to my class. I have heard that people are charging 75 to 100 dollars for CPR and First-Aid and they will only do if if there are 10 to 20 people. Those instructor don't care about the students all the care about is the money. The price for a new student just for regular CPR is $30 and if they need First-Aid also the price is $40. If I have to travel then they will have to pay for my travel expenses.

I starting teaching beacuse the instructor are not good. Once I found out about everything that they should teach I could not believe the things that they were not teaching. All they wanted to know was everyone's story. Most all of the instructor will only tell you the good things about CPR, but everyone needs to know that doing CPR correctly there are some things that are going to happen, but if you are aware of these things happening then you will know that you are doing it correctly.

I have worked with every type of student, construction sites, dentist offics, hospitals, malls, daycare center, coaches, teenagers that want to start babysitting. Parents that just want to learn CPR, churges that want to learn CPR and AED. Any person that needs CPR or just wants to learn CPR I have taught. Some of the bigger companies that I work with is Duke Energy, Ryder, Sweetbay and the Malls in our area. When I taught with Sweetbay it was 15 classes and over 300 people and we had classes in Tampa and Naples. Duke Energy I would teach 2 classes a day with 20 people in each class and I have taught in St. Pete and Orlando. Construction companies I have traveled all over Florida, because I go to there contruction site to teach their staff.

I think that every parent that has a child needs to be trained. 2 years ago I went to several apartment complexes with pools and taught parents CPR for free. If I could save 1 child it was worth it.

Make sure that they have been in CPR classes before and they need to be outgoing and not be afaid of explaining to them what you are looking for and making sure that you have all of their attention. Don't be afraid of telling them what you want and that they understand it. Just use your own fillings about the instuctor and that you fill comforable with them. If they don't have the time to talk to you then they are not going to be a good instructor and they are only wanting your money. Please do not take CPR online because it is not recognized by OSHA.

They need to let the instructor know why they are taking the class. I always tell my students that no question is a stupid question. Please don't be afraid to ask questions, because a good instructor will respect you if you know what you want.
