Alan is a graduate from the Art Instution of Pittsburgh and worked in advertising and marketing most of his life. He has won many awards since painting full time in 2012. In 2018 he won Best of Show at the Studios of Cocoa Beach, FL. He considers himself an impressionist and feels his style continues to evolve each year he paints. His prefered medium is oil and acrylic paint. He scatches and likes phography also which enhance his painting.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with simple designs and do a step by step process and let the student follow me. Not really concern with exact color but experiencing texture and brush work. I want the student to feel challenged but not frustrated.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduated from the Art Instute of Pittsburgh in commerical art and worked in art departments and graphic design studion for many years winning national and local awards. Since becoming a fine artist, have received much recognition in galleries, festivals and international competation.
