About

Alafia Driving Academy opened due to the need to provide a better understanding of driving requirements and techniques that were unavailable in the area.

It was decided to provide One-on-One, Behind-the-Wheel instruction for the teenagers of eastern Hillsborough County to educate them on how to be a safe driver.

This allows parents to know that their children are being taught by highly qualified and trained Professional Driving Instructors so their teens would learn to be secure and experienced drivers by the time receive their license.

As far as driving instructors go, Id be skeptical of there being any better than the Alafia Driving Academy. I went from being a complete novice, accustomed to Japans left-side driving style, to becoming a licensed driver over the course of about six hours. They have their teaching method down to a science, and every minute you spend with them is designed for maximum efficiency. Additionally, my instructors charismatic and amiable personality made me feel comfortable even as you begin pushing your comfort zone (by driving 75 mph on a freeway, for instance). Its really something special to have an instructor that you know is personally vested in your success, and genuinely wants to see you succeed. Definitely recommend that anybody desiring driving instruction to hit this guy up, hes the best in his field.

My daughter just had a wonderful lesson with the Alafia Driving Academy! When I first spoke with Cole on the phone, he explained that for the first lesson he would assess her driving skills and take it from there. Since he books up really fast, I booked 5 lessons (expecting to have to add on). When he dropped her back off, he shook our hands and he said Good Bye. But, it sounded final. He suggested that we cancel the rest of the lessons and said she did fine and isnt in need of anymore lessons. I was shocked! Cole is extremely honest and he could have easily suggested a package and I would have agreed! More importantly, my daughter felt comfortable with him and had such an amazing experience! I now have the piece of mind, that my daughter is a safe driver. I highly recommend Alafia Driving Academy! I have seen and fully agree with the so many positive reviews for Cole on Facebook!

15-78 year olds from all over the world....

Believe it or not, the AVERAGE age is 24.... The most common is 16...

All of the 'graduates' when they get their licenses!

    Make sure they are legit.

Fly by night operatives are all over the plaace - check their Florida School IDs, make sure their cars are serviceable and clean. What safety equipment do they have?

Is the instructor going to show up when they say they are going to? Does the instructor speak clearly and in your language? Can you understand them?

Does the instructor seem "exictable"? Are they going to be stressing you out more than they need to be?
