What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Basic handgum/firearms class. This is the fundamentals of understanding you tje student and a chance for the student to understand the basics of firearms. The student learns the four universal safety rules of handling firearms as well as gets a hands on approach.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified USCCA Instructor, RSO, retired U.S.Army Combat Wounded Vet (Recon Scout, Ranger qualified, prior law enforcement SWAT training)
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Standard is $75. This price includes: 3 hour class time, range fee, eye and ear protection, range target and use of firearm if needed with ammo. This class also gives two certificates, Basic firearms and Concealed Carry/Home Defense. This will allow you to apply to the state of Florida for your Concealed Wepons License.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching while in the U.S. Army.
What types of students have you worked with?
From a 8 year old coming to class with his family an teaching them all firearm/gun safety up to the grandmother whom was 75 and wanted to learn to shoot. My students have come from all walks of life and have been diverse in many ways.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently ran a shooters course for over 50 members of a local gun club. I wrote out the course material, presented it, demonstrated it and had students conduct a live fire exercise of that course.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure that person has the appropriate credentials on the subject matter being taught.
