About
I offer a relaxed, open format art class where YOU decide what you'd like to learn and YOU decide what medium you'll use (acrylic, watercolor, oils). If you have something you'd love to paint but aren't sure where to begin, or if you have something in the works and you need help getting it to the next level, this class is for you. Whether you're a beginner or advanced student, I guide you along to achieve the results that you desire, in any style from realism to abstract.
The classes are kept small (maximum of 6) for individual attention, so be sure to sign up in advance. If you have questions about the class or what to bring, contact me: [email protected] or call (727) 298-8896.
I love being able to share my passion for art with people who want to learn about it. There is nothing more satisfying than helping someone reach their artistic goals!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My priority is to learn what the student's goals are. Have they drawn or painted before? What medium would they like to pursue? What style of art are they excited about? I usually ask a new student to bring along a few pieces of their artwork to help me understand what their current skill level is. I also ask them to show me some pictures of the type of art they would like to create. These two pieces of information help me know how to help them get the most out of their classes with me.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been drawing and painting for over 45 years. I have studied with a number of locally and internationally known artists to develop my skills.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Each student chooses their own project and supplies their own reference materials and art supplies. I provide a list of suggested materials and supplies specific to the medium of their choice.
The fee for each three hour class is $30, payable by cash or check.
How did you get started teaching?
I have always had a passion for art and have always loved helping others. Teaching art is a perfect combination of the two!
What types of students have you worked with?
My students have ranged in experience from absolute beginners to advanced, award-winning artists. Their interestests have varied from abstract to realism, and their mediums include oils, acrylics, watercolor, drawing and pastel. I have had students range in age from 15 to 98!
