    Frequently asked questions

I want to get to know the student first and find out what level they are at. I also want to find out what they hope to learn and achieve. Then I will set up a plan for the lessons.

I graduated from photography school and have since become a Certified Professional Photographers through Professional Photographers of America. I am currently a member of VPPA, TAPPA and PPA. Also, I attend seminars and classes yearly and work as a photographer at this time.

For individual lessons, I charge $35 per hour. For groups of 2 or more, pricing varies depending on the number of attendees. The more people, the less per person.
I started teaching photography at non-profit years ago to kids. Since then, I have taught beginning photography to kids and adults individually and as part of a class.
I have worked with kids as young as 10 all the way up to retired adults.
Since moving to Williamsburg, I have done some volunteer photography work for a wonderful non-profit organization here that helps women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
I would advise students to do a bit of research. Look at websites, check out IG and/or Facebook pages. Find someone that seems like you can get along with them well and be comfortable with them.
Ask what their experience is. Ask if they have taught before. Be prepared to let them know what you are looking for and want to learn.
