About
Teachings piano is not a "job." I love what I do with a passion - all ages and all levels. I have two degrees in music education and piano performance, and I am proud to say I have over 40 years of teaching experience. My studio is in my home.
I have been teaching since 1972, in Brazil, Kentucky and now in Florida. I am classically trained but I include all genres of music in my teaching. Students need to be exposed to a broad range of styles and I do my best to tailor the music to the student’s preference.
I love interacting with the students and helping them in their musical journey.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Students and parents are welcome to come to my studio for an initial interview. It is important that the students feel comfortable with the space and the instructor.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have bachelors and masters degrees in both piano performance and music education. Teaching piano is my passion and has been my career since graduation. I have taught all ages and levels from pre-school to university. I love the diversity.
As a member of MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) I attend conferences and workshops regularly - national, state and local - keeping up with current trends in piano Pedagogy and giving my students opportunities to participate in events.
