Get fingers moving right away w Hanon scales - easy. Use some existing repertoire or familiar works first. Decide on a method book quickly.

Courses in pedagogy in my Masters and Doctoral degrees. 30 years Experience

Mostly beginners, but also advanced students who attritioned into area from other places and studios.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Traveled to PA to help my father w his hip surgery. Enjoyed mowing his lawn and painting his house to help dad and mom have a nice life together.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If u want to win piano competitions, I'm probably not ur teacher, if you're not willing to practice. If u just want to learn to play and enjoy the instrument and maybe help ur local community, I'm your teacher!
