Sue Volleyball

I was born in Havana, Cuba. Started playing volleyball at the age of 11. By age 12, I was a member of the Cuba Girl’s Junior National Volleyball Team. Due to her immense talent she was promoted to the Cuba Women’s Senior National Volleyball Team by age 15, where she won 5 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal in international competitions. In 2010, Suramys received a scholarship to play for Miami Dade College where she won the conference and state championships for consecutive years and earned an invitation to practice with the USA Women’s Volleyball Team. After college Suramys played professionally in Peru and France. In 2017, she joined ThunderBay as a coach.
