I've been tutoring math since I graduated from college and have worked with students at all grade levels from elementary up through college and adults returning to school.
I like to witness students becoming more self-confident when they learn the material and can solve the problems independently.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Examine their current curriculum and see what skills seem to be challenging. I carefully watch them as they work through their homework and scan for skills (even past skills) that may be weak and review those skills as the issues arise.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Math and a Master's degree in Applied Statistics. I also have 8 years experince teaching at least part-time in a community college setting as well as a current part-time tutoring job for a local agency.
