I have seen the progress of many individuals, some of whom I myself get amazed and proud of because they realized their artistic interest and some because they realized their dream of becoming professional photographers.
The most rewarding part of teaching is seeing how my knowledge doesn't go to waste but gets back to people with similar interests. Passing photography knowledge along to other people is a very powerful feeling.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
During the first meeting, I would like to assess your knowledge, and most importantly your desire for creating better pictures. (I said purposely "creating" instead of "taking") My interest is; you discover and develop your creative side. By understanding your images and the ‘story behind the picture" you are forming, you will grow as a creative photographer and your pictures will tell the whole story.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I was living in Barcelona, Spain, when I became interested in photography. My first job was helping a well-known fashion and advertising photographer with his projects. Seeing the magic created by shooting a picture and, then, developing the image, took me on the search for a new career. I studied in The Hague, Netherland at the MTS voor Fotografie en Fototechniek. In Amsterdam, I further developed my craft by working at a large studio specializing in food and tabletop photography. Eventually, I moved to Caracas, Venezuela where I opened my own studio. There, I collaborated with large advertising agencies developing ad campaigns, and corporate catalogs. After several intensive years, I took a sabbatical, moved to the United States, and packed my cameras away. Years went by without a reawakening of my love for the lens. Recently, the urge to capture life in print enticed me back. The art of photography is, once again, my pursuit, and I am anxious to share my passion with others. I describe my style as Disorganized Eclectic with a leaning towards minimalism. Nowadays I teach Photography to adults at different High Schools.

My lessons will run from one to an hour and a half, and the cost can be between $85 and $150 per class
How did you get started teaching?
A few years ago, I decided to enter the teaching arena, thus I created two eight-week learning programs for adults:
One program talks about the camera, and its use. Introduction to composition, and more. The second program is dedicated exclusively to composition and the search for your style.
I teach these classes at local High Schools, and Community Centers, I also teach on an individual basis that is custom-tailored to the needs of the student.
What types of students have you worked with?
Mostly adults. I've taught at some corporations -the marketing department - some professionals that needed special knowledge to facilitate the publication of their white papers and course several individuals with a strong desire to increase their knowledge in their hobby. Lastly, I've mentored new photographers to help them find their way to photographic expression.
