My son has been taking hitting lessons at Octane for several years. I feel that Travis is always giving him something to improve on. He not only teaches him techniques, but explains why. I have seen a huge improvement in my sons hitting and massive increase in his confidence and ability to read a ball!

Travis has the incredibly unique ability to teach even the most technical concepts at a totally age-appropriate level, catered to the individual player. He does this all while forming a special bond with each player, making his teaching that much more effective. It is rare to find a coach with both the playing experience and the gift of great instruction. I am beyond thankful for what he has and continues to do for my son.

Travis Bailey has been coaching my son since he was 5 years old (He is 13 now). He has coached him in a team environment for several years as well as countless, regular private lessons. There is not a better coach that speaks “kid” better than Travis Bailey. His baseball acumen is first class. He brings years of professional baseball player experience combined with years of coaching experience and relays that to the player in a way they can respect and apply it. His lessons are a great combination a focus on mechanics, competition, and the mental aspect of the game. All the while, making it fun. My son respects Coach Travis and enjoys every moment. I can tell him something a hundred times, but if Coach Travis tells him or shows him the same thing just once, it becomes gospel. The Octane facility is a great location with all of the amenities to get ahead of the competition in the off season or during bad weather. Our 12U Octane team went 5-0 at Ripken Disney and earned the #1 seed. Never a prouder moment, sporting the Orange & Purple.

    Frequently asked questions

Develop a relationship first. Trust must be earned before change happens.
After a quick evaluation I will then find a couple of things that we can correct. I will ask a lot of questions and will ask for feedback so I ensure the player understands the information. Then after each training session I will send home "homework" they can work on a few minutes everyday to reinforce what we have worked on together.
