I have 30 years of photographic experience across many fields. I have experience with all facets of photography from colour and black and white printing and processing to the pure art of my passion. Weddings, portraits and all function photography as well as commercial and industrial photography have been my bread and butter for years now. Teaching someone to love this art for means they will never work a day on their lives.

My passion is painting with light.

Born to photographers, my family legacy means I have captured the essence of Zimbabwe’s people, industry and wildlife for over 30 years.

Teaching the art and science of photography renews my dedication in this medium that I still find refreshing and challenging.

A vast majority of Zimbabwean homes and boardrooms has a moment in time that has my stamp of professionalism displayed.

Mario & I meshed when we first met. Perfect example, I would explain how frustrated I was becoming with the limitations on my point and shoot camera. I saw the progress I was making with the point and shoot.

On my (6/16) lesson, prior to meeting Mario, I went camera window shopping. I was going to talk to him about the cameras, I was ready to move on, it was time for a new camera.

Unbeknownst to me, Mario had the same idea.

I bought a new camera and I’m in photo heaven! While the principle from the point and shoot are the same; the quality of the pictures are awesome! I’ve had my new camera for a week. I have seen progress while reviewing the photos I took, I can hear suggestions Mario will make and it makes me want to continue honing my skill set.

I find myself taking my camera with me All the time. you’ll never know what you’ll find while out and about.

Each lesson he assigns challenges you and builds on the previous lessons. The critic of your shots are very informative. He’ll explain how you could have made the picture better.

I would highly suggest anyone looking to take lessons to reach out to Mario. He’s really patient, helpful and if you feel he’s talking above you head...let him know he’ll put it in layman terms!

Mario is a great teacher. He taches you the basic fundamentals and you build from there. I’ve had several lessons now and learned so much from him. I could see the improvement in my pictures with the point and shoot. Now the real fun begins for me learning my new camera and not being limited by the equipment.

I started with wanting to learn how to take better pictures with my point and shoot camera. I enjoyed what Mario was teaching me, I out grew my camera. I have the photo bug!

I look forward to my new lessons and growing my skills . I’m able to take what I learn from my previous lessons and apply it to the new camera.

I would definitely recommend anyone looking for classes to go to Mario!

I met Mario on Wednesday and we went over my experience and how I would like to grow in my photography. I’m taking these lesson as I enjoy photography and it’s a hobby.

The first meeting was productive and I have my assignment. I’m implementing his comments in my photos. I’m excited for our next appt.

The fact that Mario knows I have an idea in my mind it’s teaching me how to take that idea and getting it into a picture.

Very excited about these classes and honing my craft.

Marios ability to explain (again and again) the same basics helped me tremendously.

I still have difficulty in relating certain mathematical relationships in terms of depth of focus, shutter speed and film speed but a quick check in with him always resets me to good!

Thanks to him, I am no longer a point and click. My photographer has improved considerably.

You wont regret taking lessons with him. His knowledge is enhanced by his humour and relaxed manner.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I will ask them to bring in their camera and interview them. Find out what their goals are and start a plan from that point.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have london city and guilds photography diploma and over 20 years of photographic experience.

$50 for a 45 min lesson.

How did you get started teaching?

I started teaching generically, as I had a big client base, people asked me questions and that developed into teaching, as well as staying current with my own shooting.
