About
I have been teaching and tutoring for 14 years and I am happy and fulfilled when I can help students to grasp Math concepts (and feel less anxiety!). My goal is to raise the knowledge and confidence of students all over the country. Thanks for your interest!
I have a lot of patience with students of all ages. I truly love tutoring and I allow students to learn at their own pace. I have specialized experience with middle school aged students, high schoolers, and adult learners.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I prefer to have a conversation with the adult student or young student's parent or guardian to get a quick summary of how I can be of service! Second, I like get to know the student: their personality, struggles, strengths, interests, and confidence level in the specific subjects. Then, I like to start with homework help and practice problems immediately. Practice, confidence, and repetition will improve performance quickly! Weekly sessions recommended! Thank you for your consideration.

How did you get started teaching?
In my first year of college at Norfolk State University, I had a wonderful advisor and mentor (Ms. Robin Marable) who asked me if I was interested in tutoring Math for her in-school tutoring center (ACCESS Tutoring Center). I told her that I had no experience and she said "You can. You'll learn." She was so right. I would tutor students (my age) and adult learners who were pursuing school again after 10-20 years of being professionals. The rest was history! It was so rewarding and introduced me to my passion.
What types of students have you worked with?
Middle school, High school, and college-level students.
