What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First evaluate student's skill level to get a baseline before starting training.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have done baseball and fastpitch softball training at all levels from t-ball to the pros for over 50 years.

How did you get started teaching?
I began at age 15 helping my dad coach my 3 younger brothers, also grew up watching my dad play fastpitch softball.
What types of students have you worked with?
A lot of players I work with end up getting offers for college scholarships or going pro in both baseball and fastpitch softball.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Taking a group of high school players to an old minor league stadium , where they could play a game on the same field where some of the great legends of baseball played.
I have had girls return home after playing college or pro softball and want me to get them started into coaching so they can give back to the game.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A good instructor must be able to evaluate the skills of the student , so they can understand at what level they need to begin.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The student needs to understand and accept their skill level so they can make realistic goals for themselves.
