About
We provide baseball specific training for players age 7 - 18+. Personalized training is provided on hitting, fielding, pitching, catching, strength and conditioning. Workouts will be hosted at Sauce Athletics. Traveling to other locations are optional as well.
The Head Baseball Trainer (Coach Chris Watts) attended William Shaw High School where he played alongside World Series Champion & former All-Star pitcher Edwin Jackson (Oakland Athletics) where they competed for a Region 4A Championship in 2000. As a two-sport athlete (football & baseball), Chris earned scholarship offers from Clemson, Wake Forest, Alabama State, and Morris Brown College (MBC) just to name a few.
He went on to play football and baseball at MBC in Atlanta, GA (2000-2001). At MBC, Chris was a 2nd team SIAC All-Conference selection as a catcher with with 62 hits and 11 homeruns. In the summer of 2001, he transferred and walked-on at Jackson State University (JSU) 2001-2005. Earning his self a scholarship as a catcher and utility player. Upon graduation, he played 2 years (2005-2006) with the Jackson Senators (members of the Independent Central Baseball League) in Jackson, MS and 2 years (2009-2010) with the DC Dragons (members of the Independent Atlantic Baseball League).
He has since worked as an Assistant Coach at the high school (Kendrick High: 2006) & collegiate level as a Graduate Assistant (JSU: 2007). Chris holds several training certifications from USA Baseball and is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) specializing in youth development and growth.
