About
I recently completed my collegiate Division I softball career. I was a starter at Purdue University, University of South Carolina, and Jackson State University. I completed my senior season as the 2022 Division 1 Leader in Triples (12), Triples Per Game (0.26), and was second in Toughest to Strike Out (2 strikeouts in 147 at-bats). I specialize on the offensive side, defensive side, and overall mental IQ/mentality of the game.
I enjoy helping softball players reach their potential while maintaining their confidence. While playing collegiate ball, I had left hip surgery, left shoulder surgery, and right hip procedures. I was able to return to the field and be a starter following strong recoveries from all of my injuries. I can also help athletes in the areas of resilience and work ethic. In lessons with me, players can expect to become a better student of the game, improve their athletic skills, and feel empowered. Softball is competitive and fun! Therefore, I believe training should be too!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I lead with love, care, and respect. As a player, it has always been easier for me to work with a coach when I felt he/she valued me as a person. Therefore, I take that same approach when training clients. I converse with the students, discover their learning style, and go from there. I aim to make lessons as fun, competitive, and motivating as possible to get the most out of them. Following the lesson, the student and I will journal for a few minutes reflecting on what they learned and set goals. This helps students to retain information they learned, stay motivated, and have a clear focus going into their next lesson. The client also develops their own personal "mission statement" they can refer back to for grounding and confidence. I find this part to be a fan favorite!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I earned my bachelors degree in public relations and master's degree in mass communication from the University of South Carolina. These degrees helped me to hone my communication skills and to understand the importance of knowing my audience and how to converse with them. This has been immensely helpful when it comes to having clear communication with my clients, so I can best help them reach their goals.
Also, I have had over 100 teammates in college and over a thousand over the course of my 20 year playing career. Therefore, I have played with and been coached by people from all walks of life with different leadership and learning styles. I have learned how unique yet similar we all are, regardless of our background. I am thankful for the privilege to work with athletes and assist them en route to accomplishing reach their goals.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students of all experience levels and ages.
