I am a mixed media fiber artist with over 25 yrs of experience. I have art work in collections around the world. I have been published extensively in magazines and books for my innovative work in the studio and as an artist-in-residence.
I offer two types of lessons:
"From Pinterest to Finished"- I work with adults at their location (Greater Knoxville) and teach them the skills they need to create the projects on their Pinterest wish list. Specializing in: paper arts, fabric arts, and fiber arts.
Retreats - Is your group planning a getaway? Want a creative program? I offer a variety of extended classes at your location. These include Mindfulness classes (Mandalas, Art journals, Spirit Dolls) and Fiber Art classes. I travel across the US and Canada.

I believe in helping everyone reach his or her creative potential regardless of age or skill level. I love seeing the excitement and sense of joy and accomplishment in my students when they learn something new.
As an Artist-in-Residence, with a background in Occupational Therapy, I am also skilled at teaching people with disabilities.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Private lessons for local (greater Knoxville) adults at their location is $75/hr. Retreats and group classes will be bid upon request. I teach across the US and Canada.
What types of students have you worked with?
Over my 25 year teaching career, I have taught a wide variety of students: K-12, children and adults with disabilities, senior citizens, yoga retreats, art teachers, cancer survivors, quilters, embroiders, craft enthusiasts.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I worked with a group of adults at a yoga retreat to guide them in the creation of a large nature mandala. Upon completion, the participants remarked how wonderful it felt to work together in harmony to create something beatiful that they could enjoy for the rest of their retreat.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Does the teacher have the background and knowledge you need? Are they easy to work with? Do they have a proven track record? Do they have a positive 'can do' attitude?
Have enthusiasm and a desire to learn. Make a commitment to invest in yourself. You are worth it.
