I'm an industrial designer with a strong skill set in sketch ideation, illustration, storyboarding, and 3D modeling. I work with a range of clients including inventors, startups, and leading companies. I have a BFA in Ceramic art and an MFA in Industrial Design/Product Design.
I enjoy teaching and helping people develop their creative skills and work towards a career in art and design. I've worked with kids in 5-8 grade, teens, college students, and old folk to help them develop and enhance their talents. Let's connect!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically start with basics: perspective, drawing shapes, texture, line weight, composition and then move into more complex studies of human figures, characters, products and props and more. We address trouble areas and aim for progress over about 4-5 weeks
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been drawing and doing fine are all my life. I have an undergraduate degree from University of Hawaii in ceramics, and an MFA in Industrial Design. I also do storyboarding, concept development, and branding development and each area requires a lot of sketching and visual communication.

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching kids 3d modeling and 3d printing, and the drawing aspect was crucial. Always enjoy assisting people with improving their art skills.
