About
Our philosophy of defense starts with awareness and having the mindset to identify a problem before it is too late. There is a progression from being safe to being engaged in a fight for one's life.
Learn what it takes to maintain your safety through this progression and gain the knowledge, skill, and ability to defend yourself, a loved one, or others in any situation through multiple avenues of defense.
Our instructors are certified firearms instructors through the NRA, USCCA, or The State of Georgia.
I am the Director of Progressive Defense Group:

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Private Lessons are scheduled either via email or phone. Group lessons are placed on social media and our website with a registration link. For new shooters in a private lesson, we like to progress from safety and fundamentals to live fire. We typically cover safety and shooting fundamentals for about 30-40 min then use live ammunition. All training regardless of level of training starts with a safety brief.

How did you get started teaching?
I have been a firearms instructor since 2011 when I got a part time job at a local gun range range and was mentored by Director of Training. I began initially assisting in large group classes, but as my knowledge and teaching skill improved I began teaching small group classes and private lessons. I found a love for teaching students and watching the "grow". I enjoy not only training new shooters, intermediate shooters, but also training new firearms instructors.
What types of students have you worked with?
There are almost no limits. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with students who are brand new to firearms from 6 years old up to their 80's. I have worked with Military Personnel, Law Enforcement Officers, Civilians, Church Security Groups, Private Security Personnel, and many others.
