I'm certified in basic pistol, home defense, and protection outside the home.

What I most enjoy about coaching is empowering people and instilling confidence.
I love getting people over their fear of guns, showing them that they can be a great shooter, and teacing them to defend themselves against any threat if necessary.
Anyone can be a safe, competent gun owner - you just need the right coach.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Everybody is different. My approach is to understand the needs of the student and taylor a training session that will benefit them the most.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
NRA Cerified in Basic Pistol, Protection Inside the Home, and Protectin Outside the Home
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge a standard fee for each class which includes 1 hour of one-on-one range training. If you'd like more training after that, I charge an hourly fee for the range.
I also charge an hourly fee for Home Defense assessment, where I can visit your home and make recommendations to make your home more secure.
How did you get started teaching?
I've been shooting since I was 12, however I moved to Los Angeles after college to work in the motion picture business. After starting a family I became interested in home defense and became very passionate about it.
So after moving here to Georgia, I got three certifications from the NRA and started Sidearm Defense Coach.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've taught both experienced shooters and people who have yet to buy their first gun.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A woman who experienced an attempted home invasion came to me wanting to learn how to defend herself. It was a very distressing experience, as one could imagine.
Being able to walk her through the steps, build her confidence, and prove to her that she can an accurate shooter is exactly why I do this. She now carries everywhere with confidence and knows exactly what she's doing.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure they listen to you and are willing to tailor a class to your specific needs. If you're a beginner, they need to demonstrate patience or they're not doing you any good.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Just be clear on what you need and your goals are. And firearm instruction is like anything else - if you go with a really cheap class, the odds are you're not going to walk away with much value.
