About
Starting in 1984, I worked for 10 years at CBS Records/Sony Music marketing music for Columbia, Epic and Def Jam. I've got a bunch of gold and platinum records and have worked with just about every act in just about every genre, then started my own recording operation. I've managed Baba Oje from the Grammy winning group Arrested Development and I have authored the Musicology book series, which tells the story of how music traveled with mankind and evolved to be a multi-billion dollar industry. I am building out my 5th version of MKM Recording Studios as we speak, and I'm the Marketing Director for the Georgia Music Industry Association. I haven't met many people that have done the things I've done so far. I love music and want to pass my passion along to students through a recording studio workshop that helps get students in the fast lane of the industry. I also am an audiovisual expert and work with live sound systems, video projection, monitors, lighting and power generation. I have a Bachelors Degree in Commercial Music and Recording with a Business Concentration from Georgia State University.
I love seeing a project go from nothing to something BIG! Making hit music is my goal and I want to be responsible for a few more #1 hits before going off to music wonderland for good.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I get to know who they are first, so I can know their strong and weak points. From there I go right in and talk to them in a language they can easily understand. That's what my 5th grade teacher Bernard Percy did, and he made me class valedictorian.
