Self-taught. Love landscapes, city scapes, flowers, birds and sometimes people. Currently working with a paint night company and with several senior groups and children. Would love to help you get started on a path that has given me much pleasure over the past 40 years. I work with acrylics, watercolors and pen and ink.
I can literally lose myself for hours in a painting. The rest of the world disappears and I go to a place where there is no stress, no rules and I get to invent the outcome.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Meet and evaluate level of student's experience and goals. Get started base on findings.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Totally self-taught for over 40 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$60 per class that can last up to 3 hours depending on what the project is. Most classes last 1 1/2 to 2 hours. We can work at the student's home, my place or at any of many inspirational places around the city within a 10 mile radius of Buckhead.
How did you get started teaching?
People started asking me to teach them when they saw what I painted or sketched.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with children individually and in groups, seniors in groups and every age in between. Some people want a private class and others have more fun with friends involved. I have different pricing for group sessions that can be quoted upon request.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Last October a group wanted me to teach them how to paint sugar skull portraits. Once we got started, two of the seniors in the group decided they did not want a sugar skull. They wanted to use the silhouette that I suggested and actually paint African tribal women with jewelry and tribal markings. The results were beautiful and showed that a little inspiration can go along way!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Find someone with whom you enjoy spending time;
make sure that they enjoy doing what you want to learn how to do. That's it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Ask anything.... there are no wrong questions.
