I enjoy being guided and directed in creating from my imagination. Abstract work is a favorite but combining visuals of complex messages with multiple demensions of meaning using multiple types of art styles can be extremely captivating. In other words I enjoy mixing it up (mixed media) or creating works using different mediums.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Our first meeting will be primarily for our introduction and assessment. I need to fully understand your goals and interests to create a syllabus geared towards your success. Secondly Id like to take advantage of our one on one time each lesson by offerring demos, warm ups, excersises, critiques and homework in between projects. Only with practice will you improve your skills so your progress depends on your committment. I offer giveaways to my most improved or committed students and to those achieving their goals.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ive been instructing art for 8 years after AP honors art classes in high school and community courses for personal development I decided to give back what Ive learned starting with adults ranging from art parties, and seasonal courses then moving to kid lessons and teaching high school art. Im skilled with mediums such as graphite, charcoal, pastel, color pencil, oil/acrylic/watercolor paint, body paint, airbrush paint, tattoo machines, graphics tablet and more.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Painters - starting at 35$ for 1hr lesson
Dry mediums - 30$ for 1hr lesson
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching after being recommended to Chastain arts center by a local artist. They gave me the opportunity to absorb the experience from teaching kids of all ages to instructing adults as seasoned as 80.
What types of students have you worked with?
Ive worked with all ages of beginners who never drawn or painted anything to intermediate professionals who'd like to expand their gifts. Specializing in portraiture I was able to meet many differnt types of people who shared a similar goal.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The atlanta Jazz Festival is an all time favorite. Its a vending opportunity with promising results. Pancakes and booz is another favorite event. This is another vending opportunity but I love the atmosphere and program. Raw artist showcase is another travelling show that brings together great artists and local collectors.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
You want an art teacher skilled enough to demonstrate a variety of styles or skilled in your area of interest. They need to offer explanatory step by step processes, exercises/practices as well as projects through a personalized syllabus. Each teacher needs to be interested in the discovery and implementation of what the client is interested in creating. The more specific with what you want to learn as an artist the clearer it is for the instructor to personalize a lesson plan and determine if the student would be a great fit.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
