I specialize with beginner to intermediate focusing on building a foundation. I have a background in art therapy so we not only look at the product but also the process. We identify the things that block us including limiting and self defeating beliefs in order to help you fully flourish with your talents. I have been teaching and working with others for almost a decade and have a good retention rate.
I enjoy developing and fostering relationships while watching the student build skill and confidence. Watching people break through their barriers and excel at their desired goals is a monumental reward.
He is a fabulous, FANTASTIC teacher with TONS of education and experience in each instructional sentence that he makes. I am so lucky to live close to Macon!! I took a zoom class this morning with another gal from the Macon area, one from Florida and a young woman from Germany... he’s getting awfully popular!!! Love LOVE his teaching style, he works very hard with EACH student!!!!!
I had never painted in my life. I was encouraged by a friend to take a class with her. I not only enjoyed my creative time painting my first painting, I really loved the funished product. I couldn’t believe that I could come close to a resemblance of something I would treasure and put on my wall, but that’s exactly where it hangs! Micah is so good at making it looks easy with his step by step instructions. Right when you know something doesn’t look right he’s to the rescue, helping you to visualize where you are going. His patients, creativity and knowledge are what makes him and excellent artist and teacher for all levels. I continue to paint and take classes from Micah several years later and continue to learn valuable lessons. Thanks Micah for all you do to teach and encourage others.
Micah is a stupendous mentor who will support you in your creative journey every step of the way.
Fabulous teacher whether in person or thru Zoom. Patient and kind and always delivers a positive experience.
I first like to talk with the guest to help develop a sense of their goals. My objective is to find out what type of art and styles are of interest and then set up projects that help get the person in that direction.
I have a Bachelor's in Fine Art and a minor in Art History and Crafts from Georgia College & State University. I also recieved my Master's in Art Therapy. I have been teaching drawing, acrylic, watercolor, pottery, pastel and oil classes for over 8 years to individual students.
