I believe that my experience with teaching helps my service stand out. I've been teaching music for 12 years and on occasion, I've had to teach instruments, that I didn't play. I have played all marching band instruments along with the bass guitar and piano.
I think the main thing that makes me stand out as an instructor is that I find a catered way to get the lessons across to each student. Everyone understands things differently and I believe I do a good job in figuring out what works best for each of my students
I have a bachelors in Music from Florida A&M University and a masters in Entertainment Business from Full Sail University.
I enjoy the gratification that the students feel when they've learned something new. The way a student's face lights up when they've overcome a new technique or a piece we've been working on. I've appreciated that opportunities that learning music has afforded me and I take great pleasure in presenting that opportunity to others.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
After receiving a full understanding of what the client is looking for, I complete a test lesson that serves as an assessment. This allows me to get an understanding for how the students learns and which methods they respond best to. Once completed I am able to suggest which book the student should use and develop a practice schedule for the week.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard prices are $30 for 30min or 50 for an hour.
How did you get started teaching?
When I was a junior in high school, I was appointed band president and some of my duties included running rehearsals and sectionals. My band director realized that I had a knack for teaching and gave me the opportunity to teach beginning band. This soon advanced to me teaching lesson at our city's middle and elementary schools.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with a wide range of students, mostly within the beginning and intermediate stages. My youngest student was a 4 year old drummer and my most seasoned student was a 55 year old piano student.
