I have been teaching for over 40 years. I paint in olis, but the fundamentals I teach can be used on any medium.
My technique focus on teaching how to see and interprete color on the canvas. I focus on teaching color fundamentals,how to mix the right colors, plus composition, how to transfer a drawing to canvas, how to create a painting with all elements necessary for a succesful result.
I am also a professional custom pet portrait artist with several painting tutorials on youtube.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We talk about supplies, expectations and longivity of classes. I can adjust classes and instructions according to what student wants to accomplish or we can follow step by step the principles of art. Constant improvement is my goal. Very enthusiastic and positive approach.
All my classes are online using the app ZOOM.
I can send the link for the class or you can start the meeting when is time for your class. I will be ready.

How did you get started teaching?
I started at Johns Creek Art Center.
I got involved with their outreach program to nursing homes. I teach art therapy to senior citizens for 10 years.
Outreach art program to infusion center at Emory Hospital for 4 years

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
you need to like your instructor painting style and medium. Not every artist knows how to teach. I can 🤗🤗
