My typical process for working with new students is to:
First, I assess the students physical condition. Secondly, I assess the student's skill level. Lastly, I want to know - what the stutents basketball goals are.
With this in mind, I can give the students a realistic short and long term goal. The student will incorporate various excerses and practice routines which will help them move toward their goals.

I started teaching basketball because, of my natural love for the game. I have invaluable skills that I was taught over the course of my playing years. My teaching the game of basketball started organically. One day, out of the blue, a parent asked me if I could teach their child after witnessing my personal work out.
In addition, I assisted my personal trainer who also trained athletes.

I have worked with Junior/Middle School and High School athletes.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
A recent event that I am fond of (cancelled because of COVID-19) was being asked to represent and play in NYC's famous Bello Park Day. It would have occurred in August 2020.
I am also fond of playing One on One basketball with the students at local GA Universities...and beating them.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The advice that I would give to a student looking to hire a teacher is to have an idea or goal in the areas in your basketball game that you want to achieve or improve.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
A student should think through, before talking to a teacher, and ask themself - do I love the gamed? Do I want to get in shape (conditioning) for the game? And am I willing to do what it takes.
