Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We begin with an assessment test and then we review the grades and scoring through an original scoring system for an accurate assessment of every skill u may have for the level of play you're trying to reach. I prepare u for the next level..not the level you're on
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've played under numerous coaches, worked with professionals all across this country and abroad. I've gained knowledge from some of the greatest basketball minds there is. There's no limit to heights you can reach with J7 Sports.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $65 pr session per athlete.
How did you get started teaching?
I had a few students from my high school contact me about helping their game. The PG, SG, SF, and C. I trained them for the summer of their senior season. They got no recognition before working with me. Following their senior season the PG led the region in assists, the SG led the region in scoring and was invited to representthe state of GA in an usa vs Australia basketball showcase, the SF led the region in 3pt shooting and the C (was only 6'1) led the region in rebounding. I knew then I had a gift for teaching the game I have a passion for.
What types of students have you worked with?
Middle school, high school, college and professional athletes all can come get training here at J7 Sports
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Know everything there is to know about your trainer. If he/ she isn't willing to give you everything they have I wouldn't advise working with them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Is the price reasonable, is the trainer flexible with the schedule, do they seem to have the knowledge and is willing to share, do they truly care about your game or do they care more about the money. There are plenty of scam artists out here. Ask them questions that proves they have the understanding of the game you need to succeed
