I have written multiple songs that have charted and have multiple students with radio play. I also write and pitch songs to Nashville artists. I am not just a teacher, I am an active performing songwriter. I'm going to help you write your best songs.

Songwriting is deeply personal and for many of us a way to process our feelings and experiences. What I love the most about teaching is when students find truth in their own words that not only helps them but helps or inspires others.

    Our first lesson is a chance to get to know each other and an assessment of where your skills are. My students have varied backgrounds, and I'm able to meet them where they are as unique, individual artists. Many teachers have a standardized, one-size-fits-all curriculum, but I prefer to individualize instruction.

    I play piano, guitar and percussion in addition to being a singer-songwriter. I had a publishing deal out of Nashville for many years and I'm currently touring with the folk rock duo The Ormewoods. Additionally, I am a life coach, a certified Master practitioner of NLP, and a reiki master. These coaching and healing modalities help me draw out the best from you so you can put it into your music.

    I offer 30-minute lessons for $50, paid in blocks of 4 or one hour lessons for a $100 for the student who wants to move faster or at a more intense pace. 

    I offer 3 hour intensive sessions, for artists looking to prepare for a big gig or getting ready to record. The intensive sessions are 300. 

    I also offer song consultations, with my husband, Grammy winner Don McCollister. We listen to up to 10 songs and give you feedback. This is great if you are looking for song selection before a competition or recording session and want to maximize your recording budget. This service is 175.
