Baseball On Call
About
I have over 30 years of coaching & instructing experience as well as over 25 years of playing experience starting with Little League up to various semipro leagues in metro Atlanta. In the summer of 2022, I was an assistant coach in a Collegiate Baseball League in Dansville NY. Currently I give private lessons & have done so for over 25 years. I have also been the Baseball Director at 2 summer Baseball camps. In the spring of 2025, I was the Junior Varsity Baseball Coach at Sprayberry High School in Marietta. We played 18 games & our record was 5-13. We lost our first 5 games & were outscored by 41 runs. We showed great improvement as we then went 5-8 and were outscored by only 6 runs in 13 games. Our last 2 games we lost by a score of 10-9 & 5-4 in 10 innings. During the first half of the season (9 games) we hit only .199, had a team ERA of over 10.00 runs per game & made 28 errors. During the second half, or our final 9 games, we hit .251; had a team ERA of just over 5.00 runs per game; & made 22 errors. Baseball is a very difficult sport, but with discipline, hard work, and a positive mindset, great improvement can be shown over the course of a season. You can be sure that your child will have my complete devotion & commitment. Thank you for your time & God bless, Chuck Herendeen

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first thing I do is analyze his swing and stance to see if there are any obvious flaws. I generally start slow with a client and won't do any live pitching to them until the 2nd lesson or so.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Besides playing for many years, I've also coached various levels of players and skill set. From Little League to a summer Collegiate League in NY State. I've also been the Baseball Director at 2 summer camps and a high school Junior Varsity Baseball Coach.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$75 for 1 private one hour lesson. A set of 5 hour lessons would be $350 and $650 for 10; 1 hour lessons. You can arrange to breakup the total cost into 2 or 3 payments. This is the price if I have to rent the cage. If you have a field or cage we can use, the price is less. /p>
How did you get started teaching?
Through Doyle Baseball out of Florida in the 1990's. I was a roving instructor for them from 1994 until 1996. I worked mainly weekend baseball camps in the Southeastern United States. I also worked week long camps in North Carolina, Florida, & Iowa. By 1997, I decided to give private lessons in the metro Atlanta area.
What types of students have you worked with?
Anywhere as young as 4 to 24 with all types of skill levels. Last year I had a 12 year old student who had never played Baseball. I had to teach him the basics like he was a 5 year old player.
