I’ve been very fortunate to have a father who had a 15 yr career at the MLB level. As a kid, falling in love with the game of baseball became easy. Having the opportunity to watch and learn from my father prepared me earlier on to play at the highest level which led me to be a National Top Prospect and giving me the opportunity to be drafted by the Houston Astros my senior year of high school.

I declined the opportunity to pursue my play in the SEC at Auburn University. I received awards that included SEC All-Freshman, Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American, 1st and 2nd Team All-America, Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week. Between spring and fall, I played my summer league ball in Cape-Cod League where I was awarded All-Star Honors playing in Fenway Park in 2009. I ended up finishing my junior year hitting .357 with 22 HRs and 75 RBI’s. My 50 career home run total would tie Frank Thoma’s Auburn record.

I left my junior year to sign with the Kansas City Royals in the 18th round of the 2010 MLB draft. I played 4 years with the Royals as an outfielder and infielder where I would be awarded AZ Fall-League Rising All-Star, 1-time National Champion AAA MVP and 2 AAA National Championship rings.
