About
As a SCAD-educated artist and educator, I desire to work with the individual's exisiting strengths and build from there. I find value in shaping the technical skills of drawing, painting, and design, but also focus on mental barriers preventing someone from advancing their abilities. I've been teaching and tutoring for over six years, three of which have been in school.
I earned my MFA at Savannah College of Art and Design and have worked at multiple art and design studios.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My first stage is assessment and getting to know the student. It's important to factor in what motivates a person before pushing them in a particular direction. After the initial phase, I will give them an appropriate first exercise and build as they show mastery. I incorporate eye-hand coordination, imagination, and technical and historic knowledge into our lessons.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently co-hosted a public speaking for creatives workshop. I truly believe in cultivating real-world skills for artists as well as the industry-specific ones.
