About
I am self taught. I have worked at my grandsons school when he was in first and second grade in California for Art Pals. While in California I was the newsletter girl for Upland Art Association and member of Pomona Art Association. I am now living in Georgia and am a member of the Savannah Art Association. I love Children and have helped many children learn to paint. I enjoy children and it gives me pleasure to see them learn without pressure.
I feel proud to know I helped someone get pleasure out of something I know is enjoyable.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I find out what they are interested in learning. Feeling them out. Then I start with the most simple way to explain and show them how to do what they want to know and then we start slowly into the learning process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I did not go to school for painting. I taught myself. That is how I know what people want. I went through all the processes to get it right. I used resources from the internet, and have been a student of many artists. My favorite is Bob Ross who is now in heaven, but I also love many other artists and lessons that I took on line from several artists.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It depends on the person, how much they want to learn, their age and what if anything I can teach them.
How did you get started teaching?
I taught in my grandsons first and second grade classes at his school in California. Then I started teaching other children and some adults. It is fun and exhilerating to watch them learn with me.
What types of students have you worked with?
First and second graders. Then I taught my grand daughter to paint and I moved on from there.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My neighbors little girl comes over and paints sometimes when she has no kids to play with outside. Most of the children in the neighborhood know I paint, so they are always wanting to come over and see what I have done lately and some want to learn. I love that. My neighbors little girl painted a whole 11 x 14 canvas. It was a great feeling to see how happy it made her.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
The best way to learn is to pay attention and be happy at what you are doing. Stress is a horrible feeling and I want them to feel at home and having fun with it.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What they are yearning to paint. What they already know. Will they enjoy it and can they concentrate and have the patience to learn. I cannot stress enough that if a child or adult doesn't want to learn then I think it is better they try something else.
