About
I paint along with them, so they can see exactly what to do. I also play music and keep everything happy and calm. Painting is so much fun, that I want the customer to enjoy the experience.
I love watching the people learn and realize, that they can do this.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Introductory class, teach techniques on a simple piece of art, depending on their experience. I will supply paint, brushes and canvas cards. Customer will bring apron or other appropriate painting clothing. The class will last an hour and a half. If they do not finish in that time, they will come back and finish. Then if they want to continue, I will go from there.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I taught second and third graders art at Cortez Elementary in Chino, CA. My father taught me to paint years ago, when I was six and up. I simply taught myself, years later. I have certificates from on-line galleries, and art associations, To mention a few, i.e., Upland art association of California, Savannah art association.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My price for beginners is 25.00. If someone is an adult, I charge 45.00 as there are different qualifications I need to provide the older they are.
I also have paint parties.
How did you get started teaching?
I have been teaching art for approximately 12 years. I started with my grand children and moved on from there. I love teaching art. It is fun, calming and there are a variety of things to paint.
What types of students have you worked with?
On Zoom, I taught a troop of girlscouts how to paint a christmas tree bulb, with a cardinal on it. As that was there school mascot.
I have taught at least 40 different children, several different techniques. It is for fun. That is what they like the most. I do not want them to feel stressed or uneasy. I am a grandmother. I love kids and I love helping them have fun.
I have taught several adults.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I am an author of two published books and when I published my first book, I got to go to my grandsons class and talk about the book. I told a few cute jokes, read some interesting things about the book and several of the children wanted me to sign their notebooks. It was fun being in the class and I will never forget the smiling faces.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Art feels different for eveyone. We all have different ideas and one of the reasons art is so fun is because no matter what you paint, it is a new experience and the feeling when you acomplish the fun work is different for each and every one of us.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Again, every one is different. Questions make the world go round. If you ask, you learn. If you just want to talk, that is fine too. Don't be afraid to speak up. I might even learn something.
