Teaching others that anyone can be an artist. Painting and drawing are just two ways every one can use to express themselves. Everyone is born an artist but once we grow up we worry about skill and perfection but thats not what art is about.
What I enjoy the most is when my student realizes this.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with seeing what level the student is in and we go from there. Drawing still life, and learning scales, then working on self expression and developing their style. Teaching that art is about the artist and their vision, not rules not "wrong" and "right", while still teaching basic technique.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been drawing since I was 3 years old and have been painting for the past 10 years.
I also became a certified teacher two years ago.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Simply make sure we are a good fit.
