Arts Of Paradise Gallery

The teacher, Susan Brooks, is a world class painter and teacher. She is flexible and designed her approach to fit MY needs. I noticed her brochure on the day before leaving Hawaii. She agreed to meet. I explained my interest was in learning how to use art to see more of what is in a picture. As an analyst for 30 years, I was highly focused on data and words. Not having any art appreciation knowledge, I wondered if that would enhance my capabilities. Susan got it. She understood and walked me through how different angles, depth perspectives, shading, coloring, shapes, and other factors influence what we see. She is patient and encouraging, She answered all of my many questions. She gave me practical application work sheets so that I could follow up and continue after leaving the island. I received more than my moneys worth. Next time I am in Honolulu I will sign up for daily lessons with Susan on the first day I arrive. 5 stars!
