I am a professional DJ for 20+ years. In 2012 I was named Honolulu Star Advertiser DJ of the Year. I have taught lessons since 2013 taking students with no knowledge of DJ'ing to performing gigs within 6 months. I specialize in HOUSE and TECHNO music and offer no courses for HIP-HOP at this time. I will teach you the history of DJ'ing, beatmatching, mixing in key, how to source your music, setting up your online accounts and social media cunsulting, and how to find gigs and get performing!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work 1 on 1 with students learning the fundamentals of DJ'ing. My average time for my DJ students to begin properly mixing in about 2-3 months.
First few lessons include discussing the history, learning basics, and homework that includes practicing and sourcing information online.
