Bachelors degree in music education, master's degree in saxophone performance with additional study on flute, clarinet, and bassoon. Over 45 years experience teaching private lessons. Performance experience with the Cedar Rapids and Quad Cities Symphonies, Ringling Circus, and dance bands. Currently also teach at Kirkwood Community College. Woodwind instrument repair services, supplies, and sheet music available.
Lessons focus on achieving solid fundamentals of playing the instrument, reading skills, and basic music theory to aid success in any style of music.

The first step is to develop an understanding of where the student currently is at in his/her playing, what areas are most in need of attention to spur progress, and identifying the student's goals.
